Since 2007, the Mondo Digitale Foundation (the no-profit organization founded by the Municipality of Rome, the Lazio Region an ICT companies) is organizing an international robotics tournament called “Rome Cup: International Trophy of robotic”, where robots designed and built by students from world schools and universities compete in the heart of Rome: the Campidoglio City Hall. This event had always a big success and was followed by national and International press and TV.
On 2010 the School of Robotics signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Mondo Ditale Foundation and “La Sapienza” University of Rome to co-organizing the Mediterranean Open, which included the final selections for RoboCup 20101 Singapore and a Workshop on the Educational Robotics.
